Admirals Cove: Who, What & Where

Admirals Cove has long been Jupiter's premier waterfront community.  Located just off the Intracoastal Waterway in Jupiter, Florida, Admirals Cove has two sections, the East & West Sides.  In total, there are 941 homes here.

Sure, we have luxury country clubs in every direction here in Jupiter and Palm Beach Gardens, but as the developer of Admirals Cove used to say, "We've got the water".  6 miles of it to be precise.  And not just any water,special water.  It is the only private waterfront in all of Florida and I believe the U.S.  Somewhere along the way, special privileges were granted that exist nowhere else.  

On the East side you will find an 80,000 square foot Clubhouse with pool and Marina.  The Admirals Cove Marina can accommodate yachts to around 130 feet.  About 15 years ago the owner of a major sports franchise did try to bring in a yacht that was too big...so I think they did a little dredging to keep the ship from dragging bottom.  And the Jupiter Police keep their boat here.  All the better to keep an eye on things.

The East side, where the biggest estates are, also has the main golf course which winds lazily through the homes and mangroves.  One day, I happened upon Jasper Parnevik just lobbing balls over the water on the par-3 hole while some commercial photographers took shots.  He made it look very easy.

The West side known as the Golf Village, has a completely different feel.  No waterfront, well, OK, they do have some lakes.  They have their own Clubhouse and golf course and you will often see people traversing the distance between the East and West sides on their private golf carts each customized with the names of the owners but not pimped out to look like a Rolls Royce or anything gauche like that.

There is a fascinating array of homes, harbour homes and townhouses available in Admirals Cove.  And no doubt you will rub shoulders with celebrities and captains of industry who, along with their yachts, have called this home for several decades.  Although Tiger never lived here, it was Jasper who employed Elin and introduced her to her future and ill-fated husband.  Celine Dion lived here before moving to Jupiter Island.
